Hello, welcome to Water Ribbons Arts Therapy.
The name Water Ribbons has been inspired by a native Australian plant named the Water Ribbon. The plant provides a safe haven for creatures above and below the surface, I like to think of my Arts Therapy practice as a safe haven and like me, the Water Ribbon thrives near water!
I am a Masters qualified Creative Arts Therapist, professionally registered with the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapy Association (ANZACATA). My professional background is working with kids and adults in family services, child protection, out of home care/foster care, women and children’s safety and health and community services.
I feel fortunate to have shared working experiences with:
- Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA)
- OzChild
- Berry Street
- Save the Children
- The Lighthouse Foundation and
- MacKillop Family Services
I enjoy sharing my knowledge, warmth, and experience to help others connect to their creativity with a focus on wellbeing, healing and growth.
For me, living by the sea and surrounded by nature on the Mornington Peninsula, fulfils my love of exploring, collecting and using nature’s gifts to create and connect. Creative options are endless and help to provide an alternative to talking therapies.
The arts in all its different forms can help shift feelings and thoughts we sometimes just may not have the words for.
